.I'd like to introduce you to a few creatures we encountered on our recent vacation.
.
.
1. The Smithsonian Humping Squirrels.
It takes two to tango. The heat and crowds didn't deter them in the least. She's probably already pregnant. Not like me.
.

.
.
2. The Incredible Albino Squirrel from Georgetown.
.

The End
...now head over to the Stirrup Queens and see what everyone else is showing at Show and Tell!

Are Chip and Dale getting their "swerve" on??? Nice!
Fantastic - those squirrels are hysterical.
I live here and have never seen one of those Albino squirrels ... although I may have mistook one for a rat one night ...
Haha, that's too funny. I've also seen several albino squirrels actually in the park near my school.
Hee hee.
I recently saw two squirrels humping in my front yard. Maybe they think we don't know how to do it?
I cannot believe you saw squirrels doing it and an albino squirrel. IS this for real? I usually only see squirrels running in front of my car or up the tree. I am now wondering about our trip to DC. That is strange!
I love that you took a picture of the squirrels humping. And, that albino squirrel is so cool.
I am laughing so hard about those humping squirrels. I will take a picture if I encounter any weird squirrel behavior.
My parents have a white squirrel and he is a troublemaker. He taunts everything (dogs, cats, etc.)
Too bad you won't be out there this next week.
Whoa. Albino squirrel is super cool.
And damn, those other two squirrels are pretty carefree, huh?
I also love that you would take a picture of that :) lol!
I have never seen either of those things. Crazy you got pictures of both. The albino squirrel looks really cool!
Were you the only one taking a picture of the squirrels mating?
LOL!
Too funny! Agree with Another Dreamer and think it is also funny that you took a picture of the squirrels in the "compromising position."
ok... you just made me snort! Too funny! I can just imagine a circle of people watching, with their camera phones out...
The eagle reminds me of the Peter Wolf Toth sculptures. Looks like you had an interesting time.
they're just packing their nuts for winter...
I never knew there even were albino squirrelsand seeing it reminds me of a LOLcat saying ...
"Camouflage - U'r doin' it rong."
@geeksinrome...Thank you for that - the picture was good enough, but your comment made it better!
Love the squirrel pictures. In my neck of the woods, we only have the gray squirrels, but in the eastern part of my state, there are white squirrels and in the northern part, there are black squirrels. I guess at some point, they must have gotten together to make all the gray squirrels in between!
Who knew that we had such exciting wildlife here...
wow! that is one really albino squirrel... i can't say i've ever seen one! LOL :)
I see squirrels all the time and have yet to see any humping! What a special treat on your vacation ;)
Wow! I have seen A LOT of squirrels but have never seen an albino squirrel or two squirrels getting their groove on. DC squirrels are so much more exciting than OK squirrels . . .
Your blog always keeps it interesting. Started out as an IVF/Infertility blog and now its gone totally squirrel porn.
Great fun!
so. i have 15 mature trees right around my house. i look for humping squirrels. i've yet to find any. you should consider yourself lucky :)
That bird totally didn't get the memo that he was supposed to be making a silly face for the camera. =)
And maybe that girlie squirrelie is a fellow IFer! She and hubs could be BDing just for the fun of it.
You never know. Maybe that squirrel is just waiting to be picked up by a researcher to have her squirrelly-mama-dreams come true. Maybe this is her fifth partner (they don't have opposable thumbs, so I'm guessing donor insemination procedures aren't practical in the squirrelling community). Maybe they've been trying for years, but haven't had any luck. You just never know...
And weeeeeeird. That albino squirrel is crazy cool.
Love the pics of the humping squirrels and your comment. Hilarious!
Wow, an albino squirrel..there's a first! And you know I'm immature enough that I'm laughing and pointing at the humping squirrels. I would have lost it if I saw that in person!!

I love how the female squirrel is just so bored with the whole thing that she is eating.
