GTT=Normal. Shocking.
Ok, my fasting insulin level was 10 and it should be less than 10. This was my only 'borderline' result. My fasting glucose was 89 and my 2-hour-post-sugary-syrupy-sweet-beverage was 117. Hooray for my average pancreas!
What have some other people had to say about their 'sugah' or 'shugah'? Heh.
Is it bad for healt overeating with chocolate after not taking any sweets orYes. It is bad for your health to eat so much shugar in one sitting. But if you eat dark chocolate it's ok.
shugar for a long time? i am feeling sick.
Can you get pregnant.......? when you drink Coffee without Shugar....? (It's real. Click Here)I really prefer a little Sp.lenda in my coffee. Lately I'm adding the little French Vanilla flavored Sp.lenda packs as opposed to the 'Tiramisu' Coffee.mate I used to add. I must say though...if drinking coffee without shugar will get me knocked up...it's bitter all the way, baby!
What is shugar dady? Is ther age limit?
Yes, by all means. What is a 'shugar dady' and what is their age limit? Do you think I could get one? Do you think he would pay for my IVF?
Ok. Back to reality. They've still recommended that I follow a lower carb diet, which is no problem. I'm proud to say I've stuck perfectly to my 'Sou.th Bea.ch-ish' diet for the last 3 days perfectly. I've turned down cake, bread, focaccia, pizza and pretty much every other good thing I like to eat. I'm a carb fiend. But this hasn't seemed 'hard' like any other diet I've been on. I think I've been given TWO of the best motivations in the world.
The first is obviously that if we're going to spend tens of thousands of dollars to try and get pregnant, I should really give myself the best chance of success. I want this to work. I need this to work. I want to be at a healthy weight (or at least out of the obese category) before doing this.
The second is again, regarding my health. I don't know if it's the stress of IF, or the stress of the new job, or the stress of my husband having a hard time in school, or if it's just the weight...but my blood pressure has been elevated for the last few months. I'm checking it at home, I've had it checked at appointments. It's just ugly. I know it's partly related to my weight...and I weigh more now than I ever have in my life. This is no way to start a pregnancy.
So I'm doing it. I'm eating the way I should have been eating all this time. It feels right. It's not about stepping on the scale every few days. It's not about my clothes fitting better. It's just about doing the right thing every day. I'm just taking it one meal at a time.

Good for you! You're a stronger lady than I am right now. I lost 90 pounds (gained 20 back) a couple years ago and this was all in the name of fertility. I just wish I had that motivation now! Good luck!
I'm so glad yoy posted that link cause I was really thinking you made that one up! How can some one really think that, I hope they aren't planning on procreating!
Way to go on your test, and your new lifestyle! I would definitely say you have some great motivation.
Hope all is going well.
I think you've been adding MESHUGA to your coffee! :)
Glad to hear that your tests are trickling in as normal...I also like hearing that your husband is showing a bit of IF interest, too.
Good luck with the diet/health project!
Great attitude! That's the only way to go about it: one decision at a time. That means you can totally botch a day and remain squarely on the wagon.
And sorry to your shugar-questioning bud: I never put it in my coffee and it seems to have done squat for my prenangancy getting ability. :)
I don't know what I would do if I couldn't have bread or sugar on a daily basis. But I totally get that if it means being healthier and putting your best foot forward for pregnancy and beyond, then it's worth making healthier choices. This is a daily struggle for me...I win some, I lose some. You have the right mindset and I know you'll reach your goal. You have some good motivation and I hope I can follow your lead. :o)
It sounds like you're off to a good start. Eating healthy is a struggle for me. I've tried to be better about it and I know that every little bit helps and will hopefully make conceiving easier.
Good luck and stay strong!
Sign me up for a Shugah Daddy, too! Dang...that would be sweet (pun intended).
Good luck w/ the diet. I'm supposed to be doing that to, however, I never make it past breakfast.
I never knew you weren't sweet!! Anyway- I am rpoud of you!! I too was motivated on the front of fertility!! I would not be exercising and dieting if it wasn't for trying to get knocked up!! I liked eating, not being fat but I liked eating!! Way to go girl!! I am rpoud of you! 3 days down!!
I'm glad you are down with the getting healthy thing. I think looking at it as an investment really helps.
BTW, Im sooo glad you posted the link to the coffee thing, otherwise I think I would have had to call BS on that one. A-freaking-mazing. And she probably got knocked up while not putting shugar in her coffee.*cough* W.ho.re. *cough*
Good luck with the diet!!
I'm gonna attempt to start the whole low-carb, high protein, bugger-all sugar thing... starting next week. Really. Next week. I will...
Great job Cindy! I wish I was as good as you, but I will admit, my carb fest tonight...really not satisfying. I know you'll get to the perfect weight easily, but good luck anyway!
Sounds like a plan. I'm glad you've found something that works for you and that you can feel good about. I hope your blood pressure comes down soon.
Good for you! You are right - it is about doing the right thing for YOU.
Wishing you much success . . .
