No big humor here...just a short update into the happenings of our lives.
I did resign from my job last week. I've given them a 3 week notice as I can't start the new job until October 20th. Now that I've actually gone and done it, I feel much more at peace...and I'm even able to get excited about my new job now. Even my colleagues were understanding. They know they would do the same thing if they were me. This is such a great opportunity for me! It's even taken some of the focus off the whole 'trying to get pregnant' saga...which begs distraction every now and then!
Today my husband has his urologist appointment. He wants me to come. I initially wanted to come...then didn't want to come...but now I'm going to go with him. After all, it's on campus...I just have to walk over there at 10:30am. Is it weird for a wife to go with her husband to a urologist appointment? I guess not that much, since it's our problem in a sense...but I still feel like that overbearing wife who won't let her husband do anything by himself.
Thursday I'm leaving for Minneapolis. I'm going to an Emergency Nurses Association conference! I can't wait. I love conferences for several reasons. Free (paid for by work). Great education. Great nights out with girlfriends. Free luxury hotel. And in this case....The Mall of America! A shopping mall so large it has it's own zip code....This is the first place I'm going after getting off the plane on Thursday.
Will update re: Urologist later.....promise.

14 conceptions:
I'm tempted to fly out there and meet you at MoA...hahaha! Someday I'll get there I suppose.
I think it's good that you're going with him to his appointment today. I don't think it's weird at all. I know I like having Al come with me when I have appointments, when it's possible at least.
Good luck at DH's appointment today. I don't think you'd look like the ovrebearing wife at all. If DH wants you there, you should go. Have fun at your conference!
(ICLW) Good luck at your new job and have fun on your work trip. All paid trips are defintely a bonus!! (Mine is at the end of Oct!) Don't forget the room service! :)
Waiting to hear the update Hon!
I like Bobby to go with me to my appts and I always ask him if he wants to go. He says it is "our" problem not just mine so I agree with you that you should go! Plus I think men don't disclose everything to their drs even if it IS important!! So having you there will help the dr get all the info needed to help ya'll! Thoughts are with you for a good appt!
I will be going with my husband to his urologist appointment too!
I'm so glad you feel at peace with accepting the new job. I can't wait to hear all about it!
I'd want to go to my hubby's appt so I don't see anything wrong with you going. You want to hear what the dr says and it's good to have two sets of ears in case one of you misses something. I hope it's informative!
Visiting from ICLW. I'm not familiar with your blog, but why would it be weird to go with your husband to the dr? We don't have infertility issues, but I go with my husband all the time to doctor appointments, etc.
If he wants you there, then you should go & not feel weird about it.
Hey I don't think you going with your hubbie to the Dr is over baring, you're right, it is your problem. Just like he would go with you to the RE.
Hope the appointment went well, will be checking for updates!
A trip to the urologist...sounds like a blast!
Confrence in Minneapolis sounds like a good time. And of course Mall of America! Sweet! much luck at the urologist.
I love the Mall of America!!! I hope all goes well at the urologist!
Good luck with the new job. And have fun with the drool-worthy shop experience. I've highly considered taking to trip there just to shop, nothing more.
I went to the urologist with my husband. Our urologist was nice and realistic without being an ass.
We had the same issues with the SA, but it was due to varicocele. We opted not to do surgery and went to IVF/ICSI, which worked.
Good luck.
(P.S. having a contest at my blog for a free male fertility kit - $154 value, that is supposed to help sperm count, etc. Check it out to see if you'd be interested in participating)
